Frequent asked questions

1. Is password secured?
2. How is my computer screen secured?
3. Does web conference compromise my firewall protection?
4. How do I retrieve my lost password?

1. Is my password secured?

Yes. Your password is encrypted by the strong 128-bit SSL for the transmission over the Internet and they are stored in our secured database in an encrypted format.

2. How is my computer screen secured?

You allow the meeting attendees to see your screen only after you start/join a meeting, turn off all private information from your screen, and then tell the system that you are ready to allow the meeting attendees to view your screen. Screen image is encrypted in a proprietary format before it is transmitted to other attendees to view.

Different from other service providers that allow all meeting attendees to control the presenter’s mouse and keyboard, GoMeetNow participants can control the presenter’s mouse and keyboard only after the presenter explicitly assigns a selected attendee to do so. This ensures better privacy control, and puts the host in total control of the meeting.

3. Does web conference compromise my firewall protection?

GoMeetNow does not change any settings of your firewall. The meeting component downloaded is a passive component. It runs only after you activate it by starting/joining a meeting. Like the leading web conference providers WebEx and Placeware, GoMeetNow use the same mechanism for the system to be friendly with all different firewalls while it does not compromise them.

4. How do I retrieve my lost password?

Click the “(Forget password?)” link under the Login button at the login page. Then, fill your email address. The system will send you a new password. After you use the new password and login, click “Password” at the left panel and reset the password to be what you like.
